The Rio Chair in Terracotta from Cafe Solutions is a contoured modern chair featuring earthy terracotta, a warm clay tone for Mediterranean and alfresco settings. Made for Australian hospitality venues, it gives the resilience and comfort that bustling cafés and event spaces rely on. Opt for the Rio Chair plastic chairs to enjoy stack-height efficiency, saving valuable storage space during off-hours.
The Rio Chair is made through single-mould injection of polypropylene and reinforced for tough commercial use. The mould’s design as a single, seamless piece means there are no joints or fasteners, so weak points cannot arise. UV stabilisers are mixed into the chair during production to impede colour fading from continual sun, thereby extending its outdoor durability. With its lightweight polypropylene plastic construction, the Rio Chair model can be easily repositioned without sacrificing strength.
By subtly contouring the seat pan, this design helps maintain good posture and balances weight for longer stays. Since the terracotta finish is moulded rather than painted, it will not chip, peel or scratch even in busy environments.
Designed for modern cafés, juice bars, co-working kitchens and contemporary dining, the Rio Chair in Terracotta comes pre-assembled, so you only need to unpack and position it. The design lets you stack Rio Chair in Terracotta tightly, conserving valuable floor area for venues that need regular reconfiguration. At $49.50 + GST per seat, you receive commercial-grade quality and impressive value, especially on big fleet orders.

End-of-day maintenance of the Rio Chair in Terracotta takes just minutes. Simply take a cloth dampened in warm, soapy water and wipe the seat and frame. After rinsing off the soap, simply let the item air dry until there is no moisture left. For dried spills or greasy residue, apply a mild all-purpose spray, the same type you’d use on a kitchen benchtop. Refrain from using abrasive or solvent-based cleaners.
The smooth, non-porous polypropylene surface resists stains, so a quick wipe is all that’s needed to clean. The material stops spills from soaking into timber or fabric, allowing them to sit on top and be wiped clean. Being non-porous, the material does not allow mould to grow internally. A humid spell can leave surface mildew, but a cloth dampened with diluted white vinegar removes it easily.
The primary factor to control is the amount of sun exposure. UV protection is built in, but if the piece is exposed daily for long periods, the colour will still fade. If you can, arrange the chairs in a stack under cover for the night. A weekly rinse using fresh water will stop salt crust forming in any beachside venue. Adopt these minor practices and the Rio Chair will stay attractive and perform flawlessly for years of service.
